Azita Ghanizada

Azita Ghanizada is one of the Afghan American actress in the United States who has appeared in numerous television series. Family members fled from Afghanistan, and sought for asylum in US. Her birthplace was there. She is a middle-sister of two sisters and was raised in Northern Virginia. Ghanizada started her camera career by being featured in a variety of National Commercials. Ghanizada won the award for the best actress at the film festival in 2004's Laura Neri movie A Kiss on the Nose. In the film, she was the character Chiara. She was also an actress in numerous television series, including How I Met Your Mother Veronica Mars Wedding Bells Num3RS Bones Psych and Castle. Most recently, she played the role of a support actress in the science fiction action film Blood Shot (2009) and the independent comedies You Only Better (2009). Ghanizada began her career in 2008 when she was a part of the team for The General Hospital spin-off General Hospital. Season 2 of Night Shift saw Ghanizada portray Dr. Saira Bhatra, a physician who is a specialist in holistic medicine. Ghanizada played Kelly, an actress on Prada Sales Girl in HBO Entourage in 2009, and was also part of the TV pilot Tough Trade by Weeds creator Jenji Kohn and executive producer T Bone Burnett.
