Antonietta Collins
Antonietta Toni Gonzalez Collins is an Mexican American Sportscaster. Her current job is with ESPN as a news anchor for SportsCenter as well as occasionally hosting SportsNation. She joined ESPN as a reporter in the year 2016. She is the daughter of the TV journalist Maria Antonieta Collins. Antonietta is native to two languages. From the age of nine, Collins's ability to communicate in two languages helped her get the job she wanted in Miami as a production assistant for Univision. She was hired as anchor of the sports program for Despierta America Deportes for their morning show. In addition, she served as a sports anchor for Primer Impacto, a magazine show on the UniMas Network and Contacto Deportivo. Antonietta Collins' parents are originally from Veracruz Mexico. The girl was born on November 22nd the 22nd of November, 1985 in Mexico City. She's older than her sister. Her family left in 1992 Mexico and relocated to Miami. She divorced her parents shortly thereafter and, in the year 1995, she got married to a naval designer named Fabio Fajardo. Fabio Fajardo died in 2006 due to kidney cancer. It was during a holiday in the summer that she lived with her sister at Canton Ohio where the older Collins girl was offered a job. Antonietta had just graduated high school but already knew the things she wanted to be doing. At the end of the day she fell in love with the university. And they offered her the opportunity to study a major. Following her graduation from high school, she decided to attend the University with a major in Media Studies. Mark Bergmann, her professor who was also WRMU's 91.1FM station where she worked for many years, became her friend. Professor Bergmann was a great influence on her by his love of journalism. Additionally, he profoundly influenced her.
